What is it?"Sinclair RJ comm hyper hybrid UHF combiner module"
I bought this item on e-Bay, hoping that I could use it to combine two 75-watt amplifiers on 70 cm. I'm confident that it is for 70 cm (460 MHz +/) but I'm not sure about exactly what it is supposed to do. The company that made it, RJ Communication Products, has been out of business for decades. The e-Bay seller said that Sinclair could help, but although they have a line of UHF hybrid combiners with models beginning "HH," they don't know anything about this one.
I opened the top and there wasn't much to see. Here is a "schematic:"
There is DC continuity between the top two connectors in the photo and between the two bottom connectors. Here are two photos showing a similar combiner in a system with circulators (same e-Bay seller). Note that this unit has one connector facing 180°. The circulators are marked with 460 MHz frequencies.
If you can tell me what the dice is, I will appreciate it. A spec sheet would really be nice :) . Thanks for looking, W2MRO at NLSA dot com
